Franziska Wallner- Hollinek was born in Vienna. She is educated at the balletschool of the Vienna State Opera. At the age of 17 she joined the Vienna State Opera Ballet as an apprentice.
1995 she was assigned to the company, under the direction of Renato Zanella.
2000- 2002 she became a member of the Royal Danish Ballet, where she was trained to the traditional Bournonville style. After 2 years in Copenhagen she returned to her company in Vienna.
In 2011 she was appointed Demi-Soloist of the Wiener Staatsballett under the direction
of Manuel Legris.
She has performed in most of the classical and contemporary Repertoire and has worked with choreographers including John Neumeier, Jean Christoph Maillot, Elo Norma, Jiri Kylian, William Forsythe, Hans Van Manen.
With Renato Zanella she has participated in the ballets of „Alles Walzer“, „Empty Place“, „Spartacus“, „Black Angels“, „Nutcracker“, „Amade“, „Mata Hari“, „Cinderella“. She had made guest apperances 2008 at the Bournonville Festival , at the Reggio Parma Festival 2007, Ravenna Festival. At the Festival of the Aegean 2011 she was part of the big world premiere of „ Medea´s Choice, choreographed by Renato Zanella. She danced the part of Glauce.
